Indoor test sites offer a controlled environment for testing autonomous systems and aerial robots in various scenarios. Equipped with advanced motion capture systems they allow high-precision testing for research and development. A digital twin supports real-time monitoring and simulation, facilitating research on trajectory optimization, localization, and system identification.
Indoor testing or training within LINA can be arranged upon request.
Located at the glider airfield of Winterthur Hegmatten, the LINA outdoor test area provides a dedicated space for testing unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), UAS accessories, and ground-based systems. With a wide range of operational scenarios, the facility supports test flights in the open category. LINA works on the continuous improvement of the test site to enable more complex operations in the specific category, including EVLOS (Extended Visual Line of Sight) and BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) in the near future.
Ohrbühl offers many features which can be used for testing your robotic system. The test site is primarilly used for training in fire fighting, search and rescue organisations or other first aid organisations. The infrastructure includes mock-up houses and ruins, a crane, firehouses, meadows, office rooms and several covered shelters.
