Standardised UAS Testing in Europe: LINAs Input at the Intertraffic in Amsterdam

Simplifying Testing in Europe

As a proud member of the European Test Center Alliance, LINA attended the workshop of the network with several other test centers for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

During the workshop, several key action points were discussed with the aim of simplifying UAS testing across Europe, based on the input and collaboration with EASA. These efforts are intended not only to standardise testing procedures across Europe, but also to support the rapid development of this emerging technology.

Close cooperation between UAS operators, test centers, and the relevant authorities will help ensure safe test operations in controlled environments. This collaborative approach is expected to accelerate testing phases and optimise the processes required for obtaining flight authorizations.

LINA looks forward to further strengthening its collaboration with the network, while continuing to represent the needs and interests of its users.

Intertraffic

At the Intertraffic at Amsterdam RAI, LINA took part in a range of activities focused on the future of urban air mobility and drone integration. During the fair, LINA representatives attended several panel discussions for the integration of urban air mobility solutions into European cities.

Beyond the conference sessions, LINA connected with several exhibitors, including a team presenting a visualisation of a drone network for Amsterdam, several drone manufacturers, and an U-space service provider. These exchanges opened up new perspectives on technological solutions and future cooperation opportunities. Further, it enables LINA to stay up-to-date and prepare its infrastructure for expected next testing campaigns.
